    Halyna Hafiychuk's Exhibition

    The Collectioner’s passion

    Winter holidays in the Museum were dedicated to the passion for collecting folk art. One of the exhibitions of the festive season displayed a personal collection of Halyna Hafiychuk from the village of Hlushkov, Horodenka district, Ivano-Frankivsk province.

    The collection was started ten years ago with the purchasing of the very first object in Halyna’s collection. It was an embroidered blouse, now one of the many in the collection that includes more than one thousand elements of traditional clothes, necklaces, elements of interior designs, ceramics…

    National Museum invites to attend the exhibition In The Context Of Time, dedicated to the 105th anniversary of Petro Hryhoriychuk.

    The fifty seven paintings displayed at the exhibition are taken care of by the artist’s daughters Maria and Zoriana.

    The Borshchiv Village Embroidered Treasure

    National Museum presents Vira Matkovska’s private collection of the Late 19th-Early 20th Borshchiv embroidered blouses and shirts.

    Over one hundred unique “black” shirts and blouses from Borshchiv district were put on public display for the first time.

    National Museum presents the exhibition of necklaces by a jewelry maker from Lviv Liubart Lishchynskyi and his daughter Slava Saliuk.

    The artist displays craftsman jewelry created by her family following traditions of Hutsul, Indian, Latin American, African and Afghan women necklaces.

    National Museum presents the Ladies – Madonnas – Hutsuls exhibition of a Polish artist, Professor of Lodz Art Academy Dorota Sak.

    As an ethnographer, Dorota Sak has studied the culture of the Carpathian region of Hutsulshchyna since 2007.
